Once the Nizam's Capital, now the capital of Andhra Pradesh, Hyderabad has long been a centre of Muslim learning and culture. The city's architecture has a strong Persian flavour. In the heart to the city stands the graceful Char Minar (Four Minarets). Golconda Fort :

Once famed for its diamond mines (from which the famous Kohinoor diamond of the British crown was mined) is the site of a strategic fort dating back to the 13th century. This invincible fort has an extraordinary\ acoustical system and massive battlements.

Usmansagar Lake :

One of the most beautiful man-made lake.

Krishna River is Nagarjunakonda associated with the famous Buddhist scholar of 2nd century, Nagarjuna. It was an important Buddhist monastic institution and has stupas with handsome sculptures shoeing scenes from the life of Buddha. The Indian Archaeologists have salvaged the precious ruins from their ancient site, lifting them atop a hill and setting them up in a Vihara style museum.
