Day 01 : Arrive Cochin
Kathakali, Cochin

Assistance on arrival at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Afternoon half day sightseeing tour of Kochi (Cochin) – an important port city with a famous Jewish settlement and Synagogue, the Dutch Palace, the Chinese Nets, the Church of St Francis and the Tomb of Vasco da Gama.

Evening witness a Kathakali Dance Drama Programme.

Day 02 : Cochin - Periyar (Thekkady)

Morning after breakfast proceed by surface to Thekkady or Periyar. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel.

Afternoon game viewing boat cruise on the artificial Periyar Lake.

Periyar Sanctuary was the earliest sanctuary to be set up in 1934. Amongst the animals spotted here are wild elephants, which can be seen and photographed at close quarters, wild boar, sambar, tiger, leopard, wild dog and languor monkeys.

Day 03 : Periyar - Kumarakom

Morning leave by surface to Kumarakom (130-kms/03 hours approx.)

Kumarakom an unbelievably beautiful paradise of mangrove forests, emerald green paddy fields, and coconut groves interspersed with enchanting waterways and canals adorned with white lilies.

Situated on the Vembanad Lake, in this small water world, you will come across plenty of traditional country crafts, boats and canoes. Located on the banks of the Vembanad Lake, is the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary – an ornithologist's paradise, is a favourite haunt of migratory birds like the Siberian stork, egret, darter, heron and teal. Other common varieties like woodp0ecker, skylark, crane, water hen and parrots can also be spotted here.

Sunset Cruise (optional) – there can be few better ways to adjust to the pace of backwater life than to spend the waning hours of the afternoon just watching the sun go down. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 04 : In Kumarakom
Kovalam Beach, Trivandrum

Breakfast at the hotel. Day free at leisure or to explore this beautiful island with its village life and backwaters. You can also get rejuvenated by taking an Ayurveda Rejuvenation or relaxation therapy at the Ayurveda centre in the resort headed by expert Doctors and therapists.

Day 05 : Kumaramok - Kovalam

Morning after breakfast, depart by surface to Kovalam, which is one of the fine Beach Destinations in Kerala and upon arrival check-in at the resort.

Afternoon sightseeing tour of Trivandrum city. Visit the famous Sri Padmanabhaswamy Temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Rebuilt in 1733, it is an excellent example of South Indian architecture. Visit the Zoological Park, Napier Museum with its bronze collection, Sri Chitra Art Gallery with paintings from various schools; from countries like China, Japan, Java and Bali.

Day 06 : Kovalam

Breakfast at the resort. Day free at leisure.

Optional day return excursion to Kanyakumari, the place situated at the tip of South India where Indian Ocean, Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal meets. Visit the famous Vivekanada Rock Temple situated inside the sea by taking a boat ride.

Day 07 : In Kovalam

In time departure transfer to the Trivandrum airport to board flight back home.
